If I understood you correctly, you weren't specifically looking for stories "like this", but stories with that specific trope, right? I just came here, so I clearly don't know what story could be similar, but with the trope of someone either living long enough to be a part of history himself or being reborn within the same world and being a part of history, I do know some that could fit the bill.
First of all, the only Manga that comes to mind. In this, the protagonist is an immortal being and the story follows him on his journey through the ages:

A similar concept, but at the same time entirely different, is the following Webtoon, that doesn't really focus on the history he had, since he has never been a human being until this reincarnation, but I thought it's worth a mention:

Anyone have recommendations like this? Where the mc lives for a long time or maybe time travels into the future? The idea of the mc being part of history sounds so interesting.
