It's just really refreshing, especially since most media with 'genius savant' archetypes don't generally go out of their way to show said savant actually struggling in their day to day life and relationships. She loves magic engineering and she loves her family even if she struggles to connect with them and it's nice to see that her desire to juggle those connections with what she loves isn't belittled or punished!!
