After having a pretty bad argument with his homophobic mom, Yeoreum started blaming himself for being in that situation and fears it could hurt Hyeonseon. Seeing how the end of this season turned out, there could be a moment in the next season where Yeoreum will break up with Hyeonseon to protect him from his homophobic family (which is what EVERYBODY is mad about). I'm also upset but let's be patient. This is obviously NOT the end and we shouldn't give up on this series. Sometimes Angst is necessary to keep the story interesting.
