The novel continues much longer, which is important, since the end feels ''unfinished'' (like some sort of ''open ending''). It seems pretty obvious that the ml's problem is not that easy to solve. That is why the end feels so abrupt and naive. Wish they could've just worked on the story till the proper ending and not let it end, when everything is only beginning.
