hmm quite right but also quite wrong. The main reason yohan bullies jun is because he really thought the only way jun would likes him back is by being the top of the school, since the previous bully is gone, now is the chance for him to be the top so that jun would like him, and not the previous bully anymore (that's what yohan think). However, Jun did like the previous bully but not entirely because he is the top of the school, him being the top is kinda an extra point for him since he wont bully jun although at the end he did.
No Yohan didnt distance bc hes afraid of being gay, its because he felt like Jun overstepped by trying to get Yohan’s family to treat him better- essentially jun thought yohan hated him bc of that, but hes realizing yohan’s thought process now

Okay, here's the conclusion I got from the story:
1. Yohan had been secretly in love with Jun for a long time. He noticed that Jun was in love with Jinwoo and even kept photos of Jun on his phone. Of course, Jun eventually found them and asked Yohan to delete them.
2. Yohan thought Jun liked Jinwoo because he was at the top of the "food chain"—literally one of the most powerful guys at school. That's only half true. It's 50% correct because Jun did like the fact that being close to someone powerful meant he wouldn't become a target of bullying. But it's also 50% wrong because Jun literally said that Jinwoo's face was exactly his type.
3. Because of that, Yohan acted like a complete bitch toward Jinwoo. He believed that if he could get Jinwoo out of the picture and knock him off the top, he would become the one in control. His ultimate goal was to become Jun's ideal type, and in the end, he actually got what he wanted.
4. Then there was the slight misunderstanding during the family dinner incident. Jun wasn't really aware of the extent of Yohan's discomfort around his family, and Yohan ended up expressing that frustration in the wrong way. On top of that, Jun ran away without communicating, which only made the situation even more complicated.
5. As a result, Yohan convinced himself that the only way to repair their relationship was to make Jun realize that he 'needed' him. He deliberately stopped helping Jun whenever he was being bullied because, as I mentioned in point #2, he believed Jun was attracted to men with power and he wanted Jun to realize it. But that plan backfired, so Yohan changed his approach and became obsessively possessive instead, chasing Jun when he tried to run away.
Ah. Okay- this makes sense now thank you. Just like miscommunication tropes - the ML and the MC only have like 2 braincells when it comes to this type of stuff :/

no ur good! i went to reread this part in the novel to respond to you so it would make sense- but another user summed it up pretty well! In this scene, Jun is realizing that Yohan has been acting like a huge bully because he thought that is what would make Jun like him, and so Jun is thinking that “at some point, Yohan liked me before”- which is what he means by “he has a history of liking me.” So at this point in time, Jun is unsure if Yohan still likes him romantically, but he’s hoping that he can appeal to Yohan’s old romantic feelings for him (thus him thinking that he still “has a card to play”) in order to get yohan to stop bullying him. So the thought process is: “if i become the top bully at school “kingka” jun will fall in love with me because that’s his type) - which is what jun is realizing here

It's crazy ngl, and Jun is right, this could be a card to help him "control" Yohan or at least get rid of the bullying, can't wait to see what happens next and if Yohan will really protect him from now on
