It's because, when j was in the rift, the only thing he desperately wishes for is so that when he gets out of that rift, he wants to go and see that kid. That kid was his only success. Witch is the only person he able to save and was still alive. So everyday in the rift, all he ever wished for is so that kid is still alive and well, since the system reacts to desperate wishes, that's how sayoung was chosen by the system and became a hunter. It's all because of Jo's desperate wishes
Still a bit confused about how j figured out sayoung was the patient. What does his dream in the rift and his wish to not be a liar to the patient have to do with sayoung’s awakening? And how did he connect that to sayoung’s identity as the patient? I understand that sayoung was the patient but idk how j connected the dots
