yeah this was not as great as i remembered it tbh. i still think it's worth the read but holy hell definitely not a 'masterpiece' by any means. i think i was just so blown away by the plot twists, that when i reread it this time (knowing all the twists), all the flaws became much harder to miss.

iheon is such a scumbag lol. he had 3 chances to make things right, and fucked things up every single time. if huimin wasn’t the absolute angel he is, they 1000% would’ve ended up tragically dying all over again. i’m happy that huimin is happy, but boy could he do a lot better. it’s crazy that iheon still kidnapped huimin, treated him like shit and was a whole psychopath in their 3rd life, even tho he KNEW how that all went in his first life. knowing how much he hurt huimin only to do it all over again when he has the chance to make a better choice this time around is so fucked up.

i hate how huimin is the one who had to put all the effort into the relationship. the way he had to jump through hoops just to avoid getting raped by that asshole. iheon should’ve been the one doing everything he could to make things better. this is why 'beyond the memories’ did a much better job at this whole time travel omegaverse premise. the seme in that one FULLY changed and tried to make the uke’s life better in every way possible. meanwhile iheon is lowkey still irredeemable garbage lolll. if bro can be kind like he was in the 2nd life, why couldn’t he be like that in the 3rd.. make it make sense.

i still was very invested in the story tho, and i adore huimin’s personality, so i think it was still worth the read for me. definitely one of the better omega verses.
