This story really is a first for everything when it comes to the realities of queer love. A first with falling in love, a first with rejection, a first in witnessing "your" kind of love in the open, and now we get a first of "hatred coming in between love."
The author from the very start have already given us that Yeorum, despite his bubbly personality, grew up with almost authoritarian primary care givers. So this arc makes the most sense since it is a pretty significant part of Yeorum's life. Although he gives out his overflowing love to Hyeonseon, internal homophobia due to his upbringing still creeps up on him during his most vulnerable times.
I'm really looking forward to see how they will navigate this trial the next season! (excited for the wife-chasing!)
Also fluff is really nice but sometimes we all need a little bit of drama and spice that will make our chests scream in agony (=・ω・=)
