i never ever read the authors notes but i needed to know what this author was thinking writing the ending that way!! i still have no clue why they would want that ending and was even more surprised to read that it was planned to be that way from the start! in that case the middle of the plot just doesnt add up. it ended entirely too soon, but after reading the note i have a newfound respect for this author’s sense of perspective and their views on love/relationships/romance
