I think what made this stand out isn't just the art but that it is horror leaning and has a bit of psychological aspect and human nature involved in a typical korean action monster vs superhuman webtoon. It reminds me a bit of orv with the characters, jungle juice, and survive romance. It's gonna be hard to top this one.
The only drawback is how the monsters work being a bit confusing like with the toll gate monster, and the wish vs desire difference. But I do like the toll gate monster cause it reminds me of a 'troll under the bridge' folklore rather than the standard monster trope.
It's making me ship FL with the black haired girl and blondie (like blondie boy now, spare me I'm no good with names) but I like that it has no real romance.
I'm now looking through my lists and it's difficult to find something similar with the horror and mild psychological element with hunter/monster type webtoons. That's the hallmark of a peak work I guess. The closest I can come to is the early scenes in orv where they survive monsters in that shelter arc. I wish more fantasy monster fighting action webtoons would steer into the horror and psychological element instead of curbstomping monsters with opness and only the MC being op.
