ML has given MC the love and confidence and comfort…to go back to his true self. Saying it was pointless??? No. He was broken down by a selfish pice of shit and then brought up by an ANGEL.
That particular scene was pointless, yes. It wasn't like ML to be so rough with the MC, especially when he was already in a vulnerable state.
It was so unnecessary and so out of character. The way he is now is such a good reflection of who he is
