The story was adorable, but I don't agree with the sentiment that if someone truly loves you, they will forgive you if you earnestly apologize. The ex dude is not only a serial cheater, he is also a predator, he definitely groomed the barely legal receptionist mentioned in some chapters. Even if he does apologize, his wife/fiancée (they go back and forth so idk if they got legally married or not) should stay away from him, because people like him never change. You can love someone and respect yourself enough to let go of them if they actually make your life worse. Especially because women are always expected to be kind and forgiving, but here her reaction was justified, so that rubbed me the wrong way. Other than that, I liked the lying aspect of the story. Overall it shows that sometimes people tell little lies for self-preservation, or for someone else's sake, and not all lies are malicious or meant to be manipulative. Even though I hate misunderstanding arcs, here it doesn't feel out of place, rather a necessary conversation to have from both of them. Little by little things got revealed, and it makes sense why each lie was told, but they learn to be honest and vulnerable with each other, despite the rough patches along the way. I hope there are side stories, looking forward to their lovey-dovey life <3
