I believe Jhonny was running away bc he was scared of being caught for killing that doctor after his mother died from the "medicine" (his story was half true), so to have some money he was scamming elder people by making them trust him just like how he was at the beginning of the story with the couple at the farm
The revenge thing was kinda meh, basically the guy had shame from being seen as weak by his daughter since he was let go by Callahan when his gang attacked
And I also don understand the "your son is alive" note
It kinda doesn't fit any of the story lol
lol the author forgot abt it ig, everything else was very helpful ty!! I imagined the thing with the dad but it felt so silly to be true lol
This was so good!! I didn’t get the telegram’s meaning (the text saying “your son’s still alive” or smtg) and I didn’t get what did Johnny actually do that made him become a scammer but oh well. Also the whole revenge thing kinda confused too. Anyone that can explain?
