Ch 31 , maybe I’m over analyzing

When the ML complimented MC on her dress, saying that she looked like the brightest star, I feel like that had some hidden meaning. After the god Rachel, the stars were the next most revered (but seen as disgusting and revolting by followers of Rachel), and the people who worshipped the stars were sorcerers who were exterminated. She’s a star, opposing Rachel’s influence and changing the faith of those who see her, while gathering demons and the like around her, like the sorcerers. I just find it fascinating.

Not at all, that compliment was so specific I loved it because it reminds me of Judeo-Christian 'Lucifer' since he is also called as 'Morningstar,' he fell from the sky as an wingless angel. Its a very fitting compliment for Evangeline

YES and even in chapter 32 Gabriel says something similar to this, that Eve was like a falling star
