This story made me so mad that I forgot to feel sad. This is just emotional abuse at this point, at no point was it enjoyable or lovable. Genuinely hate the trope of using unseen forces to manipulate character to do things against their will, it feels cheap. Make the character a hater if they gonna hate and be absolute fucking idiots.
