Sorry to burst your bubble but even in the side stories I’ve read Minamoto the mind reader barely has any interactions with Mob and if they do it’s platonic together with the BL author. Seeing it from the actual author’s perspective it’s obvious why Hatanobis a good pairing, precisely because he IS underage, so nothing can actually happen. They can have a million moments but Hatano is still a high schooler and they can’t be together right now. The story isn’t meant to progress towards a love interest imo

I do agree!! Personally I think MC not ending up with a love interest seems most likely, but if he does end up with one i hope its not hatano, is all!! I think MC ended uo with someone in the j drama?? Unsure if its hatano or someone else though

Idk but i really, REALLY want MC to win this one hatano is simply too young and the concept of mind reader-kun, someone infinitely more age-appropriate as well as infinitely more hilarious to pair with the absolute thought machine that is our MC, NOT ending up with the MC is lowk sad
Also like hot take I'd genuinely be okay if he gets a girlfriend too i kinda want him to die single and entertaining but ya know
