Oh. Woah. I started this on a whim and unintentionally read a story that's definitely the best GL I've ever read. Where do even begin? The depth to this story is insane and both Soojung and Sara have this charm to their character that makes it impossible to side with only one of them. I genuinely find myself rooting them the best in everything. One thing I love is the portrayal of love and romance alongside trauma and past mishaps. The process of loving and being loved is so vague in real life I don't think I've ever seen such a clear indicator of it in a story. The push and pull from Sara fits in so, so well because being an idol from a very young and vulnerable age, she found her own way of comfort from the hurt. She craves warmth but also dreads it somewhat. Her complex character makes you want to cheer her on while she finds her stability in her relationship with Soojung, as they both navigate through life together alongside one another. And I absolutely love how both of their professions are also explored as well. As for Soojung, I'm genuinely in awe of her execution. Her character type may seem common but the way she's written will make you rethink because inevitably she's actually written like a real person. A human, with depth and layers to her because of her humanity. She's flawed but tries and I love that for her. And her experience of falling in love is so vulnerable and difficult that you feel the inner turmoil she feels because of her affection for Sara. She's level headed but ultimately in love and knows her boundaries but of course years for a deeper connection with the one she loves. I could sing praises for eons in how immaculate the story and plot is. The art is also so damn good my gallery needs more space for all of this. I love how the art is a true reflection for the story and its assimilates so damn well with their feelings and situation AHHHH I LOVE IT!! Everything that this story expresses is a heartful call out to Soojung and Sara as they both delve into the heart of one another in hope of comfort and fulfilment.
