Yeaaahhh, I was spoiled by a post maybe a year ago and see why a certain theme keeps popping up. There is a major reason why they are so drawn to each other. Just keep reading, it doesn't forgive his actions but reveals a deeper storyline. I personally like the ML being an asshole at first as it seems realistic for a change because he is corrupted. He has been influenced by those around him who are sinful: lust, greed, envy, pride, etc. in a position of high society. Then he takes in a lowly female commoner who slowly shifts his perspective. I believe early on he hurt her to prove she is putting on a facade or sinner like those around him but learns she is truly beautiful and pure hearted. Fights his desires until he can no longer let anyone else have her. All I want is answers for his actions and an apology, maybe then we can understand his twisted behavior.

It was literally just last night that i was thinking of dropping this but glad someone told me to continue reading this. and so i did and i am glad i did! Aside from the mesmerizing art, the story is also realistic! Ngl the ml was so irritating (he’s literally the reason I thought of dropping this). Anyway, it really does get better. Lowkey wishing the fl won’t end up w the ml tho. I genuinely want her to be free. My poor Adele Vivi
