there is a novel (86 chapters, we are currently on chapter 44/45 i beleive). the english translations are on par with the manhwa adaptation unfortunately so the only way to read the novel is to read them officially raw ╥﹏╥

So I did my best and found the spoilers I wrote for someone before, so some of the things you have already seen. It’s a long read sorry…
I’ve read the novel in booktoki when it was working (using chatgpt to translate) and below are the spoilers that I remembered (fyi smth MIGHT be a bit wrong bc chatgpt is not the best translator)
- the ML has a second personality he knows about, so when he falls asleep that personality wakes up. And that version of him is soft, kind and vulnerable.
- when he was a kid his dad was a piece of shit (I don’t really remember what happened to his mom..), the dad started dating a woman and she had a son, that son was very kind to the ML, protective of him, caring. The woman was as bad as the dad (as much as I remember).
- one day the ML was hungry, his dad and the woman were sleeping so he decided to make something to eat. He was a little kid then (idk probably around 6yo). He caused a fire (by accident), and everyone died except him (at some point that boy that was taking care of the ML came home and he managed to save the ML but only him and not himself)
- then I don’t remember much but the ML got adopted
- The manager knows about his “problem” but not much. One day he came to the ML’s house to wake him up and he met his second personality but that personality didn’t do much. The ML woke up and told him not to tell anyone.
- they are going to get in a road accident, a really bad one. They’ll fall from a bridge, the ML will tell the MC to leave the car (because it was possible for the MC but not for the ML) but he will not do that. So they will fall and the MC will save him.
- Then they’ll get in a hospital. The ML will pay more to move his bed to the MC’s room so they can stay together. Every night his second personality will wake up (and spend time with the MC but it’s not like the MC wanted it), and one morning the ML will wake up next to the MC.
- the ML doesn’t know that his bodyguard met his second personality, so he’ll come up with some excuse (so that the MC doesn’t ask questions).
- the last day in the hospital: the ML is suspicious about what’s happening every night and decides to turn on the audio recording for the entire last night.
- they come back home; the MC gets some free time and goes to see his acquaintance. At that time the ML decides to listen to that recording. That’s when he learns what was going on. And that was the most interesting part ╮(￣▽￣)╭
- when the MC returns to that house, he sees a huge mess in the living room (the ML got very emotional while listening to that recording…). The ML starts asking well you can imagine what will be happening. The main thing that the MC will not remain silent and endure that shit (finally). He’ll leave the place for a few hours. But then he’ll come back and approach the ML first (they both will calm down at that point)
- that’s when their first sex happens so
WARNING(kind of): their first sex is not good, the ML is an idiot fr.. BUT the next morning they’ll repeat with the second personality ! (that personality will be sad when he wakes up seeing the MC naked next to him…) And second time will be much better.
- the ML will start locking up himself during the night so that they won’t meet with the MC
- the Mc does nothing about it, he didn’t even know as much as I remember
- then, I don’t remember a lot.. only that while the ML takes a break during his work, he falls asleep near the MC in a van and his second personality wakes up. He runs away (bc that personality was locked up and the MC didn’t do anything, so he got sad and shit..)
- the MC and the manager are calling him but he doesn’t pick up, then the MC decides to go looking for him himself.
Damn I guess I’m writing too many details… so the ML got kidnapped by some crazy fuck from the past that wanted to kill him for that woman and the boy the ML lived with while he was a kid. (Idk probably that crazy fuck was a brother of that boy that died…)
- that fuck takes the MC’s call and tells him to come. The ML tells him not to come. But ofc he came ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
- but that fuck started a fire before the MC came
- so there’s going to be some action but they survive, the MC gets in a hospital again. The ML is going to sit every night and day next to him but then leaves as soon as the MC wakes up
- then he “fires” him bc he doesn’t want him to get hurt again. They spend some time apart (around a month, so no worries). At that time the ML was dealing with his problem. He decided to “accept” his second personality. Idk how to describe.. he won’t become find immediately, he’s going to suffer, see nightmares and shit…
- the MC will get a bit drunk and come to his house. That’s when they “reconcile”.
So I stopped reading when they started dating (bc that’s what I needed and the rest I’ll read in the manhwa). The ML will be quite possessive!
