Yeah I chose not to read it too. The main character has done something equally heinous to the villain but forgot about it, although no one should be subjected to this level of abuse and torture, I think jail time is enough.
i choose not to read because i have a fear of embarrassment, you know 2nd hand embarrassment, and i learned that the sadictic dude would humiliate the main character a lot
