This is bullshit. I didn’t expect to cry since Sayan was already old but I’m still crying. If this is how it was going to end, then what was the point of these side stories? Sayan might have been a demon but all he wanted was to be loved in return by Ilic. Ilic has no obligation to fulfill his wish after all he had gone through but if he truly loved Sayan, then he should have admitted it. Not for Sayan’s sake but for his own sake. Now he is going to be filled with regret because he never opened up and admitted it when he still has the chance. This is just punishment for Ilic, not freedom. What was the author thinking?
