To add to my comment. If my husband told me that he went to HIS families memorial without me. That would be the end of our marriage. He excluded him from a family function because he doesn't see him as a part of his family. And now the author is going to run around in circles convincing us that he goes care.
This is making the main lover extremely unlikable. I also hate that they dumped their kids and are basically ignoring them while they deal with the amnesia. They should have the kids at home and get back to a routine.
