It would be weird if they became real lovers and they die really old together since, 1. Sa-yan is literally insane borderline psychopath which means he can't empathize and sympathize ever 2. Death is inevitable and not because they are old but because of the amount of drugs Sa-yan take daily for him to stay sane enough..
