I kind of like that Jungkook became a bit forgettable as Hyunjin fell for Chanyoung because to me it proves the Hyunjin was really only relying on his crush for his hyung to make him into this big figure in his life.
Jungkook even said he isn't that good of a person because he knew Hyunjin's feelings and still lead him around just to avoid his own bs. The hint of the guy he's looking for is obvious the Jungkook has a more different past.
Chanyoung and Hyunjin fit so well together: it was easy to see how they would fall from the grumpy misunderstood "playboy" to the sunshine good boy who wears his feelings on his sleeves. It's very cute story, the 10 year skip with their dog seriously made my heart swell.
While added side stories are nice. I'm also not shocked if they get none because this is a such a through and through love that anymore would just be filler. I don't want a Cherry Blossoms issue (if anyone is currently reading the new "side/season 4") I do hope we get a Jungkook and mystery man story though.
