My sad heart as a TJ fan

A while back towards the beginning (when all the arguing was happening of fans rooting for either Jo or TJ,) I decided to put the entire comic on hold for myself until it was over. I was a TJ fan and wanted to wait cuz if Jo was endgame, I wasn’t going to finish it. Anyway, I waited til it finished, read a spoiler that he ended up with TJ and started reading from the beginning again.

Ironically, I really started to love Jo’s character. I felt bad for him. He changed so much, not in a good way, in order to stay with Ian and then he was dumped. It was honestly so sad; I know author gave him a “happy ending” but with no context, he could’ve honestly be so miserable and depressed, just going thru the motions. He almost killed someone just for talking shit about Ian, like that’s how whipped and in love he was. It was so sad cuz I knew the ending, I knew he wasn’t going to get the guy he fought so hard to be with. I know that feeling of not wanting to push too much on the other person cuz youre scared of seeming clingy (like the gas station scene; he was too scared to call but dude like you are OWED good communication from the person you’re about to elope with) but he’s still so hesitant and it broke my heart. Then Ian breaks the news that he’s leaving and they don’t even hug. Like, bro come on. That’s some cold blooded break up. “Let’s meet here and we’ll leave together..” *meets at location LATE* “sorry I’m actually not coming and we can’t speak ever again..” LOL wow. That was harsh, Ian. Anyway, I love TJ and Ian together but even as a TJ fan, my heart hurt for Jo. He deserved so much more. You might say, “ its just a story..” but be careful cuz you might be transmigrated into Wet Sand as Jo and you’ll regret that thought haha
