Yeah, you couldn't have said that better. I can't help to feel bad for him but at the same he did really bad things and he should start to take responsibility of his actions. I hope he pays for them and then improves into becoming a good person that knows how to love. I wish professor is good for garam but at the moment I just see him as a selfish bastard that only cares about the "sound" and not Garam. He'll probably change tho

The characters are multifaceted, and I greatly appreciate that. I do understand why at certain moments people are sympathetic towards characters like youngjo; like regarding his distressful family dynamic, people only wanting him for his looks, etc. HOWEVER, youngjo uses people. He has been doing it forever, and he even admits that he “ruins” other people. His regret/remorse is minimal, and for some people non existent. He likes people that comfort him. Yosep accepts who he is to a degree, but he doesn’t comfort him by telling youngjo that his reckless behavior is ok. And so, at this moment, it is easy for youngjo to cast yosep aside as a person he no longer needs to use/doesn’t seek comfort from. Youngjo started feeling comforted by Garam’s reassurance, and so he started to like him more than other hookups. But please remember, developing regret after their actions does not absolve a person from their misdeeds. Youngjo uses others for whatever he needs in the moment without regard for their feelings/futures. He continues to “make his bed” this way, and this time he has to lay in it. He deserved every minute of this chapter, and I’m glad Garam knows the truth.
