am i the only one really irked about how they treated azusa? everyone was acting like she was such a bad person for not reciprocating the snake guy's feelings. this just gives me a lot of victim blaming vibes. wdym she 'doesnt deserve' to be a bride of the snake guy when she was only basically forced to go with him due to her family's circumstances. It's also icky how the mc and her best friend was thinking of ways to set azusa and the guy together without even considering her disdain towards him.

i get it she's supposed to be a bad guy and her first love is actually her one-sided crush with reiya but the way she's initally treated and set up is just off putting

But still her attitude is just wrong. She straight up hates him. The least she could do is tolerate him cause he’s paying them cuz her behaviour is just ungrateful. Given his personality he would be satisfied with the tiniest crumble of hers.

except it's not something she should be grateful for. If you were basically sold off to another guy to pay off your parent's debt, and you had zero choice over it, I bet you'd be really mad too. It's not your responsibility to keep your family afloat and you should not be villainized for hating a glorified kidnapper

she was stripped off her freedom to choose for herself, forced to bear the responsibility of her parents, and the guy she's forced to be with is just a romanticized slave owner. She's a bad guy sure, but it's the fact that the story seems to already punish her way before she actually did her villainous act.

Yea I get her tbh. It was miscommunication on both parties with the parents to blame. Shuto thought she agreed, but the parents were actually the one who did it and Azusa feels like she had no say in it anymore bc of theyd basically lose their family business. I'd hate him too if I was in her shoes.

What I didnt like was the way she wanted to get in between the main couple just bc of her delusions.

I agree the author couldve done something for azusa and shuto. Hell I could think of ways they couldve been developed. Does the author not want another bride friend for the fl?
