in my opinion, i think it's because now after the great mgg list purge, everyone is leaving a star on their favourite work so that it won't dissapear if the purge happens again
It's defo not accurate. It changes sometimes. For example, Dead or Alive used to have around 800 voters, then it changed to around 200. I notice other works (before and after the purge) are like that too.

I noticed under every score it says the number of people who rated the story. are those numbers accurate??? some popular stories only have like 200-300 ratings vs less popular new works have almost 1k?
