So in Esther's scenario, if he was the one who killed her, he probably had the same dilemma but respected the will of his creator... He wasn't sad, not when he was calling Chess or at the funeral, so I wonder what kind of marriage/relationship they had. He imitates human emotions so as a husband, I was expecting him talking more about Esther and showing some degree of grieving but nothing. But he felt happy when being thanked and apologized by Chess. Maybe it just wasn't showed. But Chess is the real victim. At least he has a few things he doesn't need to worry anymore: family (he has Jack) and money.
