From what i understand the MC brother is a homosexual that lives with his bf, he was then "disowned" by their family, he died in a sudden crash, MC visiting his apartement to pick up his stuff then suddenly time travel to the past and have a convo with his past older brother and his bf, everytime he went back a year alr past, after their last meet MC then finally let himself grieve
