There is a difference between physical discipline and abuse just like there is a difference between parenting styles. A child should never be struck with a closed fist or with high emotions. Yes, children understand when you speak but there is a distinct difference in their comprehension at a given age. I am quite clear in this case it was done for her benefit just like I am aware of why Yvonne didn't let her family know what she was going through.
Yk the "physical discipline" you speak of is just another way of describing corporal punishment and abuse? It's scientifically proven it doesn't work anyways and no matter at what age your kid is at, whether they're a toddler or they're in their teens or even as a grown adult in their 30s, words work and are powerful. You just have to adjust to it as they grow up. Putting your hands on a kid in any way isn't beneficial to anyone but the emotionally immature parent, is incredibly harmful in the long-term and just means you don't have what it takes for clear communication, healthy relationships nor parenthood.

Alright this might be my Boomer raised parenting gene slipping through but Yvonne might need to give BeyBey a whuppin. Like omg she just tattling on her Mother to her Mama with no regard for Yvonne's well being.
