i will note though, they do zero fleshing out of any of the lovable side characters tho. if this was longer, the writers definitely should have done more with them. its a very main character centric story, BUT that doesn't feel out of place considering how detached the fl feels from ppl around her and how in his head (traumas) the ML is.

oh woah this is good! i love how they developed both MCs characters - like they were both very fleshed out and relatable. ml is ptsd-depression-paranoia-anxiety-sleep deprived as hell and fl has abandonment/impersonator-always been madeto feel like an outsider issues, their relationship starts as employer-employee in the first life and their friendship took time. in the 2nd life, since to the FL they are alrdy friends, her approach is what fast-tracks their dynamic change and thus they were able to understand each other sooner. i think if she hadnt died in their first life, they would have still reached the same relationship dynamic it just would have taken longer. i like that the crown prince isnt actually an enemy for once and Frere is precious and has the best character design xoxo
overall i like how natural and normal all the emotions feel. the FL isnt written as this unbelievablely dense person who denies her feelings like most of these stories go and the ML isnt a red flag like most stories where he forces his will on others, he's just blinded by/lost in his struggling mental health due to the traumas and can't see anything outside of that pain. this is one of the rare cases in which i truly think they didnt need a second chance to fix anything, that they would have figured stuff out in their first life if she hadn't died lol
