Ok let me just start off by saying that whole r*pe plot was utter bullshit and completely unnecessary??????? Did nothing to further the plot genuinely. I'm not entirely sure what the fuck the author was thinking by adding that when there could have been plenty of other ways to prove his loyalty- hell I think torture would've been less violating and honestly in theme with the whole mafia thing. Plus like we could've gotten some heart wrenching scenes of Dante tending to Gino's wounds and like regretting it every time he sees the scars that he created himself like do you see the vision???? AUUUUUGHH WE WERE ROBBED.
I honestly feel bad for Dante- why'd the author do him so incredibly dirty like that? It's just soo out of character esp. when he was so insistent on consent in vol 1 and protecting him like how is it canon that he's violated him in front of others ARGH. My heart hurt so bad for Gino T^T Anyways other than that I actually really enjoyed this story, they make my heart full and I'm curious to see how the rest will play out now that they're working together T^T just super annoying they added THAT.
Also I reckon Dante's father was manipulated LOL. Its sounding more like it was his side of the family that got pissed off that he eloped (esp bc he was supposed to be the heir? or did I read that wrong) so they created this whole scheme to make him hate the Gardino's and live his life for their downfall. But who knows? Bc legit what reason did her brother have to kill the mum / their own blood related sister LOL she literally was just existing/didn't have much of a role to play in the familia.
