I might be wrong..but I believe he’s just a guy that looks like a girl, I assumed this was because he was a fairy which makes his outer appearance regardless of gender more ‘beautiful’
From what I understand, he’s just a feminine guy. His parents were probably supportive of that and let him have long hair and cute (girly) clothes. Plus gender is probably different for him cause he’s not fully human. He probably thinks of it in a different way.

Cuz like, we see the past of the two of them(Sandra and the red head guy whats-his-name) they are playing, and he's clearly a girl? Like it is evident in the way his hair is braided and the clothes! I'm like ????
Oh, is it cuz hiding his identity from ark? But like he could've just be a woman, right? And not the opposite gender?
Or is there already an explanation and I just didn't read it carefully?
