I fear that Tanako's mom is truly gone so her being able to remember them wouldn't really matter. If shes alive tho then I don't see much point in the tragedy tag aside from well I guess something happening to YoshiKaru.
But you're right! Tanako's mom was able to remember her son even though his sister couldn't and that should mean there's hope for Asako!

A good time to remind everyone that the tag has Tragedy. We are all so fucked.
First of all, Tanaka is outliving every death flag and I do not see him surviving for long. He has messed with a depraved machiavellian organisation that is NOT to be fucked around with and not to mention I feel like he's gonna die and remember his mother in his last moments as an emotional ode to his mother or something and all of us fans are gonna crash the fuck out.
Secondly, Yoshiki is way too mixed with Hikaru now. Before, even his mother forget about him for well pver 4 hours until Hikaru himself confronted her and after their even closer mixing in the scenes after that (exhibition A: the iconic yoshikaru scene of Yoshiki accepting the entity Hikaru) and not to mention, everyone in that place knows something is deeply wrong with Hikaru and that Yoshiki is in on whatever the hell this is, as well.
Which is why, they cannot stay in that village anymore. It's highly improbable. Maybe Tanaka could've taken him in but it's so fricking unlikely considering the plot has different plans for him.
And thirdly. This fucking unscrupulous company that's hunting illegitimates. And that girl, not to mention the other workers. There so much unexplored elements related to them, we are still gonna see their appearance moving on. And this is highly concerning and problematic for the boys. Im also expecting a scene of either the group accepting Hikaru (and the nature of Yoshikaru's relationship AND MAYBE EVEN POTENTIALLY YOSHIKI'S SEXUAL ORIENTATION), or them... forgetting about both Yoshiki and Hikaru. I wonder if that happened would at least Asako remember them? Would she acknowledge their decision to venture away? Or elwould she too forget them eventually, leaving only hollow voices in her memory in place of where Yoshiki and Hikaru should've been? I hate tragedies so much.
