so rushed, so unexplained, sooooo subpar.

it's trying so hard to be poetic and deep with the panels changing with every dialogue or monologue, but it all falls flat in the end because of the mid pacing.

i'll admit vionne is a very interesting character and probably the only one in the entire story with some substance, but the story is still severely lacking in foundation.

i thought that after the first few chapters, it would finally feel like a story AFTER the introductory or expository phase. instead, it still all felt like a walkthrough.

how are we, as readers, supposed to form attachments to the characters of the story when they have 10 bubbles max before there's time skip?

my biggest issue with this is the story is SPOON FED to the readers, especially by way of vionne overthinking the most simple and obvious things. then, when she finally figures it out, she's deemed as 'smart' even the direction of the story is frightfully predictable. i literally felt like a psychic the first few times. then, it started to get lame.

cheesy, too, with the story trying so hard to prop itself up as different from the other OI manhwas.

i also was reading the official translation, but even the story itself was fucked up and unorganized that i had to double back and check if i was reading the official translations.

so see how i said it was spoonfeeding readers? it spoonfed them the current, present happenings, but not THE STORY ITSELF. it leaves us guessing about the important details yet overcompensates with the most useless information.

i opened the comments expecting similar complains, so imagine my shock when i saw everyone praising it. perhaps this is another case of "pretty privilege" where it's glazed subconsciously because of the art, or perhaps i have grown too used to pieces with depth like Secret Lady.
