I was thinking the same too, it's not as obviously a dominant-submissive relationship like some manwhas. But I do think it's funny that the guide is wearing a full suit and the esper is the one in a bathrobe during the chapters where they go to the party (I'm at chap 13) lol
I feel guideverse is not so fvcked up if the top is the guide and the bottom is the esper, like the guiding hazard too. My guide bottoms mostly experienced abuse, grape or psychological trauma, this is so refreshing
