I came here to say the exact same thing. And yeah, I understand he needs some character development and there’s room for him to do so but he’s so childlike for his age it makes it hard to read.. The constant need for reassurance and explanation is so annoying. I enjoy the story but at the same time it’s really lacklustre.. And Dohyun acts like he’s so fake that it’s like you said, hard to see any chemistry between them.
I am curious to know how people perceive 20 year olds? i feel like the way he acts is pretty normal.. it might be annoying but it is his first relationship. At 20 years old we are not automatically mature, a lot of us are still navigating through early- adulthood.

Totally get that. I don’t think becoming 18, 19 or 20 automatically makes you mature or adult like. I truly don’t believe people mentally become adults until they’re at least 25.. But that doesn’t mean that he isn’t overly childish for his age. I get this is his first love and relationship but ukes are already made extremely naive and he is like overly.. And there seems to be no comprehension when things are literally spelled out for him.
