Usually this kinda thing doesn't get me, but I think because in all the other series it's loudly spelled out in writing that they wear the colors.
It's too obnoxious for me at those time.
If I was there I would have screamed SHE IS WEARING HIS COLORS IN THE BALL!!!!!
To be honest, the art and prince's remarks wasn't so subtle about it. I love how they did it without outright saying it.
