Honestly good bc (***possible spoiler***) I thought the story was setting us up for the ml and mc to be half brothers, but I see that is a fake out for the real twist.
He is actually the half brother of the ml, he is doing this to get close to his half brother (which ml doesnt know) and once they get close he will betray him like how the ml killed his family
In this case he wasnt able to and used the mc, bc he was sent out etc etc im not sure if he ultimately died or recovered off screen
