I know mc and ml’s relationship feels lackluster esp with the lack of chemistry, but it will soon get better! Its just that the characters have conflicts within themselves.

**Disclaimer**
(It’s been a while since I’ve read the novel, so apologies in advance if my analysis contains inaccuracies)

- MC is still immature because he’s 20 years old, and considering that it was his first everything, we expect that he cares a lot and he’s still insecure
- while ML appears as a shallow person because he tries too hard to be “perfect”

As a result of this dynamic, MC will feel more at loss since the relationship is emotionally one sided. This brings us to the next conflict that happens in the novel which is them breaking up.

They ended up breaking up for two major reasons:
1. MC found out that ML was a person hired by MC’s conglomerate mom to monitor and and update her about MC (MC is sensitive about that since he is often left alone at home or left with people hired by his mom)
2. ML is pretty closed off as he never gets mad or even open up, so to MC, he feels like a stranger

But don’t worry because they will resolve it anyways. We will soon find out ML’s past, and one thing is clear: he doesn’t want to be abandoned. Both characters will eventually resolve it + ML will have a chasing arc (?) where he properly courts MC so they get back together.

The second time is much healthier than their first so lets trust the process! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
