This is so beautiful I don't have enough words to explain... The manhwa itself is a work of art... the musical reference and how art in all form is somehow connected cuz at the end of the day be it painting or music is a form of self expression... I also love how Heejae is a prodigal perfectionist who is can only express himself with music... For him music is a sacred realm and his cruelty acts as a natural filter to see who will break and who will desperately crawl back for more. He uses extreme harshness to completely destroy his student's confidence, self-worth, and mental stability. Once they are entirely broken, they have nothing left to rely on except him. He achieves his goal of becoming the absolute center of his student's universe, a god-like figure for them... He is either entirely worshipped and completely obsessed over yet utterly loathed. By withholding his praise, he turns himself into an addiction... The student becomes addicted and obsessed with chasing him , desperate for the "God" to finally look at them and validate their existence. This forces them , specifically Han Garam , to view Heejae's rare approval as their only lifeline. Also I absolutely love the line in the synopsis " What you treasure the most can become your greatest pain” which can mostly explain Heejae's message for his students...
Anyways I'm loving the vibe so much... I don't have much knowledge about western classical music but all the references are interesting I feel like the author has done a great job researching on music and arts
