In the novel this scene is a bit different. She showed up in the middle of the night many times — to sign the contract, to add a note, to warn him about the beast — each time in a nightgown that showed her figure more than the manhwa does. I remember he warned her once too, if I recall correctly. In the novel he said the same words but charged with tension — whispering them in a mocking, flirtatious way — grabbing her waist without assaulting her. Ahahahah. THX but this is exactly how the novel describes his gaze. I'm Italian so English is not my mother language. Nevertheless I couldn't help but read the novel in few days, so IMO it deserves to be read.

The manhwa is quite accurate but it's lacking in the sexual tension, well described in the novel. It's not a smut novel, but Blair is physically attracted to him, as Herdin to Blair.

This is how the novel describes the 19th chapter of the manhwa:

"The moment their eyes met—his blue eyes shadowed in darkness—she felt as though she’d locked gazes with a predator watching its prey.

[...]

Startled, she tried to push him away—but his lips hovered just above hers, close enough that any slight movement would make them touch.

Stopping at that distance, Herdin whispered,

'Then guess what I’ll do next.' His ice-blue eyes pierced into her like daggers.

'Is it difficult? This much is very simple.' His cold gaze and mocking voice tore past Blair. Her eyes, fixed on him, wavered.

‘…You don’t trust me.’

His sincerity struck her more clearly than ever before. She’d been mistaken. (...)

Blair lowered her eyes, avoiding his gaze. Her eyelashes trembled faintly as she slowly closed and reopened them.

She pushed against his chest and pulled herself out of his embrace.

'…I’m sorry. I was dreaming.'"

No rage, no sexual assault, no scaring faces. just a man who doesn't believe his wife, but flirts with her. Just an upset woman, because her husband doesn't trust her.
