i loved your analysis! always love talking about the characters in this manhwa, they're well written and have many aspects to them as indivuals. and they bring out even more from each other when they put their heads and hearts together.
i also think that we are approaching closer to the point where the story started in the first chapter. there's trouble afoot for sure after they put that guy into the ground (maybe because they didn't get rid of him for good, he's a living witness and it seems his boss is gonna be the potential villain of the story. can't wait to see what happens next! and i especially wanna see more of the junior cop and the tattooed right hand guy of huijae. they make for fun dynamics.

Ok this will be a long entry, but I finally bought the chapters officially (anyone that can support is welcomed because not that many bought it, even tough it's soo good!) and therefore started with the first chapter again...
And tbh I totally forgot that the first chapter starts with a situation in the future, 3 months away from the moment they first met up at this big mobster meetup. And there we see them already in this small town, he has the piano studio. The granny helps out and there are some other criminals that during the day help out on the fields and at nighttime search for huijae. I read this chapter before the 26 one was released but I think that might be the people connected with this son they burried. Because beforehand he informed his boss on the phone that this small town is ideal for them.
I think we are almost approaching this timeline because I think I haven't seen lately some kind of info how much time has already passed.
In the first mentioned chapter one can see that huijae probably killed some of them because of the blood on him and comes to the piano studio and wujin (sorry I'm really bad at names) helps him clean up. So maybe by that point he isn't at the police anymore, but still doesn't kill himself because of his moral compass/trauma ?
Maybe that was obvious for everyone but Im quite forgetful .. D:
And yes they are so good together. "People that kill together, stay together", but tbh I find the other actions huijae does are so much more romantic/cute?? Like laying on top of wujin so that he can sleep and doesn't wander off in the middle of the night. There are probably other solutions for this but it felt like he knew how much he can push wujin outside his comfort zone. And ofc the part where he wants to bring him to Seoul with him, probably because he doesn't want him to sleepwalk maybe because of his triggered trauma after the events now, so that he doesn't hurt himself.
Ok, that's it, I'm off for now (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
