the omega prince might have thought they treated him cold, but the way i judge the king was that he just didnt know how to behave infront of his only omega child, didnt know how to express love but in reality he cares for him a lot (thats how it looked like in the chapter when he introduced his alpha bf) but oh well.. its true they could have shown more about that before ending it ._.
