I mean it is fiction but somethings are just problematic. How far can one make in the name of fiction? I believe atleast pedophilia is one of the those things which SHOULD be frowned upon even in fiction. If setagawa was a female, we would be making it about how this is normalised and disgusting. Just because it is a guy doesn't mean you lose all your empathy to think from the character's point of view. Everything is fine, just keep kids away from sexual stuff, it's really not that tough.
There are stories about pedophilia because pedophilia happens in real life, and it's not always about normalizing and romanticizing. You don't read Lolita and think that's such a cute thing no you realize exactly how fucked up it is. The thing is that this story this manga we're all talking about it shows a couple with an age gap who if they were in their 30s we wouldn't be talking about it all because it's a healthy relationship overall. But people love the side couple because they're the same age yet their relationships started out with assault and manipulation. People need to learn to understand context and if they don't like a certain topic maybe just don't fucking read it. And yes children shouldn't be reading this. 100%. But how many parents just don't care? Parents don't want to do their job anymore and actually you know skim over the things that their kids are reading or watching or looking at online.

Exactly! And it's not like people get this up in arms about game of thrones or Riverdale or pretty little liars. All shows that had inappropriate age gap relationships. It's just manga and anime for some reason that they care about. Real fucking weird if you ask me. I mean if you're going to white knight for fictional children at least do that across the board.
