...I'm at ch.19 and am I the only one who just CAN'T finish this? It's a great story (the representation of mental illness is top tier) but this is exactly why: it's just TOO MUCH for me to handle, this feels too real, I'm gonna forget that it's fiction at some point . The spoilers I saw about ML apparently trying to get over his dead lover through this 'rescue' of MC or whatever he was trying to do is what definitely made me drop it though (I hate the replacement trope with a passion). I'm all for the 'healing together' trope but MC doesn't know anything about it at this point while ML knows everything about him. I know that they're BOTH kinda using each other to survive, and that MC is healing thanks to this arrangement, but at the end of the day it was all imposed on him and he has no idea that, at least in the beginning, ML was using his feelings as a bandaid for his own feelings for his dead boyfriend. MC is also getting over his own crush but it's different, and ML knew about it from the beginning. Ykwim? Does this make some sense? I also don't like the difference between their ages and especially life experience, poor MC doesn't even properly understand what is going on (emotionally) in their relationship. I don't know, judging from the ratings and positive comments I have no doubts that they're gonna deal with it in a reasonable and (hopefully) healthy way, and I know that I can't really judge much having only read the first half, but I just can't get over the feeling of betrayal I feel for MC . Good and realistic story but not for me. Sorry I just needed to yap lol
