To me it seemed quite obvious they weren’t end game. First of all, I just can’t see the fl becoming empress. She’s more honest than scheming and doesn’t have much administrative experience. If we put that side by side with becoming a duchess/marchioness of a territory that specializes in monster hunting the choice is quite obvious. Secondly, I think the biggest clue was the play ‘Knight Angela’ that they watched. When it was mentioned that the prince fell for Angela while having a fiancée, I knew it was the author’s way of telling us they will never work. The fiancée in that play was a metaphor for the prince’s obligations. So it was basically telling us that due to having different priorities, they won’t end up together. Thirdly, in this kind of living arrangement, one was bound to fall in love with the other (whether it be Yves or Radia). I just had to observe their dynamic and compare them to Radia’s relationship with the prince. At the end of the day, Yves is the one who provided her a way out from her family and welcomed her in a nice environment. While the prince is just someone she sympathizes with because they have similar pasts. Let’s not forget they don’t even see each other that much.

All jokes aside, when you put it that way. I get it.
Even i know I'll be suffering a cold case of second lead syndrome, I always do they are always so soft, spoken , gentle and kind unless the author turns the prince into an obsessive psychopath ( authors do this when initially introduce a character and randomly turn him evil, idk why they do this though? Pisses me off so much.)
I have hope, how many times have we seen FLs that are ditzy, with idealized goody two shoes views in this genre become duchesses or queens or Empress' because the ml is in such a position, in rare cases like I'll be the martiarch they end up together and she doesn't step away from her life.
I mean sure they don't meet often, but it takes one moment you know . Look at him, my shaylaaa I want to wrap him in my arms.
And finally the male lead is really washed out, when I try to remember characters from this manhwa he kind of just fades into the background, like I would snatch him and put him in a generic historical manhwa and he would fit right in.
And most importantly the prince is a beautiful man, nothing I love more than a man that looks like a girl. ( Nine from beware of the villainess set a precedent, I haven't been released from, if we go further back, helia from Winx club, Jihoo from boys over flowers you literally can't save me, I will always prefer the soft spoken pretty boy when I'm lucky they are the love interest when I'm not they are the second lead it is what it is.)

What's this about him not being end game? It can't be? Look at their chemistry, maybe they had no chemistry in the novel but the artist is really showing it. On the other hand with the supposed ML it's more of a sibling best friend kind of chemistry they have instead.
