I wonder if the author has ever encountered anyone similar to this character they’re trying to idealize, because they fumbled the transition from “high functioning childhood trauma survivor” to “triggered crash out” before I took my morning meds.
If he was the type of person who has the diagnostic criteria to present this way, he would have already been showcasing several more concerning signs prior to this point. But I remind you, he’s holding down a successful career, social life and is regulating his hygiene and financials well (from what we can tell.)
Author is trying to suddenly dump incredibly deep lore on us to add context to his morally questionable actions and explain how he’s suddenly gone Swim Fan with bizarrely unpredictable behavior. I’m just already not a fan of the direction they seem to have pinned for this season. Hoping they have a bigger picture in mind, because this had a lot of potential.
