it's really not that bad. the main problem is that ray didn't tell her that the lady she had wanted to meet had already reached out to him, which she explains clearly, and he responds in kind. don't let this one part ruin the whole story, it's actually pretty wholesome!!
On chapter 30 and just going to give this up. They just introduced a character (knight/mage) to be her lady in waiting and the woman has no tact. She complained about how the ml didn't let her meet the fl earlier, thereby driving an unnecessary wedge between them. That is a character flaw that is rather unforgivable.
